In the middle of last year I had the opportunity for a professional photo shoot with the ever fabulous Adam Jay Pole Photography and this was the result.
Rock Climbing
Ever since I started Pole Dancing I have really developed my upper body strength and I was keen to test it out.
I am the luckiest girl alive as my DF (Darling Fiance) presented me with rock climbing lessons as a birthday present.
We checked into the Hard Rock Climbing Company in Swanston Street Melbourne for our lesson.
Ok the safety harnesses are really daggy but they do come in handy later on.
Let me tell you, rock climbing is hard work. We spent about half an hour learning the basics and then they let us loose on the walls in order to practice.
I tried a lot of walls and lost my grip a number of times. The first time it happens is very freaky. Although the safety equipment is all in place and I had complete faith in DF who was holding the ropes below me, when you lose your grip and swing out into space the first time, your heart rate spikes and you seriously question the ropes ability to hold you.
The final challenge of the day was to abseil down a five story tower. Coming down was the easy part. There was no ladder, staircase or elevator to get to the top. In order to get to the top you had to rock climb to the top.
It was quite a challenge for us newbie climbers and I was the only one who made it to the top in order to abseil down.
Welcome to Roxy and Roy
Welcome to RoxyandRoy, a blog about all the good things in life.
I love fine food and eating out, make up and beauty products, keeping fit and healthy (not easy give my love of fine food and wine).
I want to write about them and share my experiences so I am launching this blog.
It is named in honour of my two puppy dogs, Roxy and Roy. I adopted both adopted from the shelter and they now know how to live the good life.
